XAAX mouthpieces began as a curiosity when my love of the saxophone collided with passion for design and manufacturing. The journey began when I decided to re-invent the C-melody saxophone mouthpiece and bring a modern sound to an antiquated and forgotten instrument.

Little did I know that I had entered a deep and endless rabbit hole which continues to feed my curiosity and stretch my engineering design and manufacturing capabilities.

I continue to explore craftsmanship and modern manufacturing capabilities to produce mouthpieces that provide quality, consistency and durability that allow the player to express themselves with ease and tonal flexibility.
